Startuply - startup jobs with style
I know that with this global economic problem, everybody wants a better job. Well this is not a new idea, because at some point everyone will leave their job for a better position. Regarding this idea, I’m reviewing a nice start-up, a jobs website called Startuply.

First of all, I was very impressed by this site. With the design, I am very happy. The site has a quite simple idea, that it was executed in a clean manner, with few graphic elements. There are 2 main big graphic elements in this site: the header and first-action links: Post a job, Take a tour or Job Widgets. The rest is filled with useful information that has enough spacing and is visible for the user.
I like the fact that this site relies on the quality of the information. And what is another big plus for Startuply, is that the information is quite different from other job sites. Startuply knows how the user behaves, and this is the most important thing in the user experience. With this criteria in mind, the information that is displayed covers section like, job requirements, description and what I like most is company profile with funding, number of employees, even revenue. All this information is well structured and … free. That is right, companies can post their job openings for free.
I’ve talked about the content of this site and now I will continue to analyze the design side. With few graphic elements, it is natural that the hard thing is now to balance all the content as well as emphasize it well. For this task, Startuply is also a winner. Simple, subtle CSS styles, are responsible for harmony in this design. You will be surprised to see just some lines and spacing. A great finish for this site, which has a good design and a well settled user interface.
On the user experience side, the situation is clear: accessible information + balanced user interface + clean design = Startuply. I recommend it for any kind of use: research, jobs hunting and so on. Two thumbs up for the designers, developers and creators. It would be nice to have this type of applications, with focus on users’ behavior and needs. Cheers!
