Design Conduct and Principles

Pretty often in our daily existence we tend to override our moral conduct. We sustain these alterations with various excuses, most of the time pointing at external reasons. In design, as in life, having principles and a proper conduct will help define you as a good designer.

In these lines I want to thank Andy Rutledge, a good designer with proper conduct and principles. His latest project, the Academy of Design Professionals, is an attempt, a wake-up call to dedicate yourself, to give 110%, so that you can see your design dedication and commitment in your work. Respect design, respect your co-workers, respect yourself.

This article is a manifest to support the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and competence in design practice and promise to uphold the spirit and letter of the Code of Professional Conduct.
