A $2.5 million redesign – WhitePages.com
Title on Techmeme: WhitePages unveils $2.5 million Web site redesign. That got me curious. I wanted to see for myself and show you a $2.5 million redesign. Of course that it is not just the visual side and some CSS, the bill pays for backend as well (hopefully).
I must say that I really like the logo. It is simple and not cheap … apparently. Anyway, my first impulse was to check the jobs section to see if there are any job openings for web designers
. And here are some screens from the site:

I wonder how it looked like previously. No ‘before’ pictures?
One of my favourite site redesign’s Design Taxi (http://www.designtaxi.com/), from their initial messy yellow and black gridwork to a sleek black and white one now. Their rebranding’s been pretty awesome too.
Sorry, no before pics.
Regarding Taxi redesign you are right. Now the site looks way much better.
Before snapshot.

I’m not sure if the usability is good enough because I didn’t try or test the site but it definetely looks good.
