Every time you hear the word Mozilla you tend to associate it with Firefox… Mozilla Firefox. It is a normal thing since it is their flagship product. But it is not the only product and it seems like Mozilla wants to extend its line of applications. These days another word was promoted from Mozilla Labs: Bespin.
According to their description, Bespin is a Mozilla Labs experiment that proposes an open, extensible web-based framework for code editing that aims to increase developer productivity, enable compelling user experiences, and promote the use of open standards.
For now, there are only few features:syntax highlighting, large file sizes, undo/redo, previewing files in the browser, importing/exporting projects, etc. But the thing that made me wow, was the user interface. The guys behind this project and the designer made a terrific job in creating a great user experience through a cool interface. Check this next video and share your opinions. From my side, I’m eager to see which features will be implemented in the next version. Cheers!
