Adobe AIR Applications – Our Favorites
In the next period of time Graphic Rating will develop several AIR applications dedicated to web designers and web developers. Since we want to create something useful and good, we’ve started to crawl the web for the best Adobe Air applications. Some of these are now part of our daily workflow and maybe some will be a part of your workflow too. Anyway, you can think of these apps as alternatives to big expensive software. You can search and find free Adobe Air apps for all domains.
1. ADC Desktop
Adobe Developer Connection Desktop is an AIR application developed by Adobe. It serves as a bridge (has a cool clean interface) between the user and the ADC community. It is easy to use and it helps the user surf easily through the components, articles, tutorials and resources regarding Adobe Technologies.

4. Twhirl
Twitter is very important in these days and it seems like it starts to be a standalone industry. Because of its importance we now have many Twitter clients. I think of Twhirl as the best since it has the lowest price – free, and it has great features and delivers a good user experience.

7. StockQ
With this financial crisis I tend to check the shares prices although I don’t own any share. And, instead of check the sites for MSFT, GOOG, AAPL, AMZN, YHOO! … etc., I use this simple AIR application that can display in realtime the price. It is easy to manipulate and it saves you a lot of time.

8. Splashup Light
In order to insert pictures and edit them for this article I’ve used the light version of Splashup web application. It is a crud editor that has basic functionality. You can add effects, scale, flip and rotate images, crop and add shapes and several other actions.

Since the number of apps is rising, you can check for different AIR applications that are suitable for your daily tasks. Also keep in mind that this is a new trend and Adobe Air could be the future (100 million installs). Cheers!
Thanks for the shout-out on the Vertabase Timer.
