According to Wordpress.org website, the 2.7 iteration from Wordpress blog engine was planned for November 2008. As far as I know today is November 29th and we still don’t have news about the new release of Wordpress.

It looks like the development bugs were not fixed in time for the end of this month and we will have to wait a little more. My question is what will happen to the other future releases that have a certain release date set. Probably they will be delayed as well as Wordpress 2.7. In case you wonder, these are the following planned releases:

2.8 February 2, 2009
2.9 May 11, 2009
3.0 August 3, 2009

It still remains the question: when will 2.7 be released? Because at this time, there were 57 unresolved tickets and the number is similar to several days ago. What do you think? When will Wordpress 2.7 be ready? Hopefully fast because this is one of the few products that has the biggest demand for updates. Not because it has many glitches but because it is very reliable and wanted. Cheers!
