Google Chrome will be a hit … for 2 months

Google is throwing another product in the battle over the internet supremacy. The latest project is Chrome a browser with standard features but with Google’s marketing.

Ok, so we have tabs, we have individual title bars and we have a similar home page like Opera. That should do it. Firefox will have nightmares and Internet Explorer will implement all the standards because of Google Chrome. Get real!

This browser is one of  Google’s last moves in the advertising area. Think about it – Google Knol is not and will not be a success. Because why will people write for Google when they can write on their blogs and monetize their articles. Also let’s not forget that people are getting used and bored with text links – AdSense. For me it is nothing but a huge spam form. And for others too, especially developers that made Adblock – a Firefox extension against ads. Not to mention that the extension had 10 mil downloads. I wonder why …?

With great losses in the advertising area, Google hopes to make Chrome popular so that the ads will stay free and the users will click on their ads. Also another idea behind Google Chrome is that the browser will finally become the OS. Basically I agree with this idea, but only for some areas. For example I don’t think I will use a web alternative for 3d software applications. But Google has only web oriented activities, so in that case a dedicated shortcut to its services will be more than a dream come true.

Conclusion
Maybe in 2 months from now, people will be eager to test the upcoming version of IE and test the new Firefox 3.1. I’m sure that Google will not let us down, and this product will be a failure like the last ones.

    Google Chrome is really fast!
Now I can sort 200,000 records inside of Browser (Chrome) just in 1 sec. (Faster than Microsoft Excel):
