There are many sites dedicated to wallpapers, but a common user has no clue about those sites. And most of the time, the desktops that you see have boring wallpapers. That is natural because we can’t have all the same preferences. Regarding the wallpaper, I usually don’t have any installed. I prefer a black background in order to have a better focus.

Anyway, today like any other day I was stumbling and I’ve found this nice website: DESKTOPOGRAPHY. It is a project which involves designers and the idea to create dynamic and living backgrounds for your screen. The artwork is based on nature and is composed of many wonderful images. Images that are made by several designers, because this project is somehow exclusive. That means that you can’t join the club, just when your skills and your final results are top.

For now, the site has a little over 100 designs, divided by date – year. This project is not new, so you will find images from 2005 up to 2008. Desktopography wants to connect the graphic designer that is wasting his time in front of the monitor, with friendly outdoor environment. Kudos for the initiative and hopefully we will see this site running in 10 years.
